Use a Pneumatic Forklift
You can often find pneumatic forklifts in shipping and warehouse operations. Also known as pump trucks or pallet trucks, they are utilized to transport products and materials around on wooden pallets utilizing metal forks which are mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight contains a pump which lifts the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is designed to be operated by one individual.

To avoid loosing control while raising heavy loads, pallet trucks must always be operated carefully. Machine should be checked prior to operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstructions. Make certain that the handle turns smoothly. The pallet must be carefully stacked to guarantee that nothing will fall off during transportation.

On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level situated on the inside of the metal loop to release the air in the pump and lower the forks. The forks can then be pushed into the slots of the pallet. The forks must be centered to guarantee even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Raise the forks from the ground by pumping the handle of the pneumatic lift until the pallet has cleared the ground completely. Do not raise the pallet very high or the forklift can unbalance.

Pull on the handle and then drag it behind you if you want to move the pallet. It is really dangerous to push the pallet ahead of you because the momentum could cause it to lose control. Take turns slowly and don't attempt to stop abruptly. Stop slowly, squeeze the lever, and the forks will lower to the ground. Finally, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent place.
