Rough terrain forklifts have been manufactured by CareLift Equipment, ever since the year 1962. Each day the company strives to deliver value and help their consumers reach their objectives as they know the bottom line is reliability and performance.
Boom lifts are available in 2 general types, the articulated boom lift and straight boom lift. These units are normally hydraulically powered. Most commonly straight booms are the ideal choice for jobs that need a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the equipment could rotate 360 degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom could be vertically raised to below horizontal. As the operator could maneuver and steer the vehicle whilst the boom is completely extended, it is a versatile machine. These units come in 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive, as well as diesel, propane or gas configurations.
Articulated boom lifts are utilized for lifting cargo up and over obstacles and gain access to areas that were otherwise not accessible. These lift models carry out jobs that straight telescopic booms cannot complete. These lifts are practically identical to the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the boom's ability to articulate. There are various articulation points on the boom in order to enable it to bend in a variety of different directions allowing it to easily move around any objects within the work environment.
In order to maintain stability while the boom lift is completely extended, several heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Proper training is necessary before using boom lifts in order to ensure the jobsite, the operator and everyone working in the vicinity stays safe.
The boom lift allows for tasks requiring many man hours to be carried out in much less time. These machinery have greatly increased production and have changed the material handling business.
